How to optimize your time
With Schedule.so, you can manage your time more effectively by controlling how and when people can book meetings. Booking Limits and Advanced Settings help you optimize your schedule, avoid unnecessary bookings, and stay organized.
Managing meetings without proper control can lead to back-to-back bookings, last-minute requests, and schedule conflicts. Schedule.so helps you avoid this by giving you better control over your availability, so you can plan your time more efficiently.
Access Booking Limits
For this demo, we will use the Client Meeting event. Open the event settings and click on the Limits section. This is where you can configure how bookings should be controlled, including buffer time and other booking limits.

Buffer Time
Buffer time helps you avoid back-to-back meetings. You can add buffer time before and after each appointment. This gives you time to prepare or take a break between meetings.
For example, if a meeting ends at 10:30 AM and you have added a 10-minute buffer, the next available slot will start at 10:40 AM.

Minimum Notice
Minimum notice prevents last-minute bookings. You can define how much time is required before someone can book a meeting. This can be set in minutes, hours, or days.
For example, if you set a 2-hour notice, users will not be able to book a meeting that starts within the next 2 hours.

Limit Booking Frequency
This setting controls how many times an event can be booked. You can limit bookings per day, week, month, or year. Once the limit is reached, no more bookings will be accepted for that period. You can also add multiple booking limits, allowing you to control availability across different time ranges at the same time.

Limit Total Booking Duration
This setting lets you control the total time you want to spend on meetings. For example, if you set a limit of 10 hours per week, Schedule will stop accepting bookings once that limit is reached. You can also add multiple limits, allowing you to control your total booking time across different durations at the same time.

Limit Future Bookings
This setting controls how far in advance users can book meetings. You can allow bookings within a rolling number of days, such as the next 30 days. You can also define a fixed date range, such as from May 4th to May 15th.

Advanced Settings
Advanced settings help you manage bookings and collect the right information from users.
Conflict Checking
Schedule checks your connected calendars before confirming a booking. If a time slot is already occupied, it will not be available for new bookings. You can include multiple calendars to avoid scheduling conflicts.

Guest Invitations
This setting allows users to add additional participants while booking a meeting. When enabled, a field appears on the booking form where the person scheduling the meeting can include one or more guest email addresses. All added guests will receive the same meeting details, including the date, time, and meeting link.

Booking Form
You can control what information users need to provide while booking. The Email field is required by default and cannot be turned off, as it is needed for communication. For other fields like Name, Phone Number, and Description, you can decide whether they should be required or optional. You can also add custom questions to collect more details. Choose the input type, add labels and placeholders, and mark questions as required if needed.

Brand Settings
Brand settings allow you to customize the appearance of your booking page. You can upload a social media image, which is used when your booking link is shared. You can enable redirect after booking to send users to a specific page once the booking is completed. You can also set custom brand colors to match your branding.
